Do not return any item without contacting us first. If a package arrives that we are not expecting, we have no way to know who it came from or how to process it, which can delay or prevent your refund. Contact us through our contact page with your order number before shipping anything, and we will confirm your item is eligible and provide return instructions.


Return Windows

  • Refund: you may return eligible items for a refund within 30 days of the original shipment date.
  • Store credit: you may return eligible new, unused items for store credit within 60 days of the original shipment date.

To be eligible, items must be returned with proof of purchase. Condition affects your refund, as described below.

Restocking Fees

  • New & unused, in original packaging: 15% restocking fee. This fee is waived if you exchange for another product, and is always waived on defective items or errors on our part.
  • Used but reconditionable: 25% restocking fee.
  • Not resaleable or returned damaged: up to 35% restocking fee, or the return may be declined.

To avoid a restocking fee, exchange the product for another item instead of requesting a refund.

Shipping Costs

  • Original shipping charges are not refundable, because they are paid directly to the carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx).
  • You are responsible for return shipping, except when the item is defective or we made an error — in which case we cover it.
  • For items over $75, we recommend a trackable, insured shipping method, as we cannot guarantee we will receive your return.

If the Product Doesn’t Fit or Was Mislisted

If a product will not work on your vehicle because it was incorrectly listed on our Site, we will not charge a restocking fee and will make it right.

Defective or Damaged Items

If your item is defective, see our Warranty Policy. If it arrived damaged in transit, see our Shipping Policy for how to report it.

LumX Headlight Warranty

LumX Headlight sets purchased on or after September 10, 2023 are covered by a 2-year warranty. Sets purchased before that date are covered under the 1-year warranty that was offered at the time of purchase.

Refund Processing

  • Once we receive your return, please allow 1–2 business days for us to inspect and process it.
  • After processing, refunds typically take 3–5 business days to appear on your card or PayPal account, depending on your bank. This delay is controlled by the banks and is not something we can speed up.
  • If you have not seen your refund after 5 business days, contact us through our contact page.

Frequently Asked Questions

How long do I have to return my product?

You may return eligible items for a refund within 30 days of the original shipment date, or for store credit within 60 days (new, unused items).

Will my refund include the original shipping charges?

No. Original shipping charges are paid to the carrier (USPS, UPS, FedEx) and are not refundable.

Do I have to pay return shipping on an exchange?

Yes — return shipping is at the buyer’s expense, unless the return is due to a mistake on our part, in which case we cover the cost.

What is the restocking fee if an item has been used or damaged?

New-condition items: 15%. Used but reconditionable: 25%. Items no longer usable or returned damaged: up to 35% (or the return may be declined).

What if I don’t want to pay a restocking fee?

Exchange the product for another item instead of requesting a refund, and the 15% restocking fee is waived.

What if the product won’t work on my vehicle?

Do my LumX Headlights have a 1-year or 2-year warranty?

LumX sets purchased on or after September 10, 2023 carry a 2-year warranty. Sets purchased before that date are covered under the 1-year warranty offered at the time of purchase.

How long will the refund process take once you receive my item?

Please allow 1–2 business days for us to process your refund after we receive it, then 3–5 business days for it to appear on your card or PayPal account.

I received an email that my refund was processed — why isn’t it in my account?

After a refund is processed, please allow 3–5 business days for it to post. This delay is controlled by your bank. If it hasn’t appeared after 5 business days, contact us through our contact page.
