Fan Cooled Technology in a replacement bulb!

LumX has been pushing the boundaries of what is possible when it comes to external LED bulbs. While other manufacturers focus on headlight bulbs, we're trying to create extremely bright, efficient replacement bulbs for other applications.
The LumX FC series is the latest example of this push. We packed 50 separate EMC LED chips onto this one bulb! This creates a staggering 2000 Lumens PER BULB! This would not be possible without an efficient cooling method. For this we designed, from what we've seen, to be one of the first reverse lights with a built-in electronic fan to cool the bulb!
There are certain applications where our normal heat sink cooled reverse light set will not work. For those applications we've created the FC series! "Fan Cooled"
This creates an extremely universal bulb that will work on any application where the socket fits!

3156 LumX Reverse Set
Finally gave in and bought a set of these reverse lights for my '16 Ford F-150. Obviously they're way brighter than stock incandescent bulbs and so far I like them. Install wasn't too bad. Light throw works better for me with the LED's up/down as shown vs. left/right. I'm not a big fan of the OEM wiring socket being more exposed with the 3156-adapter plug provided, but DieselLED DOES provide a tube of dielectric grease to help offer protection from moisture. The jury is still out on how well they actually seal to the tail light housings when the temps drop for winter and if I get moisture in the housings. Also, it would be helpful if the screws had a 2mm thick head instead of the 1mm they're at currently. The tail light housings aren't molded with precision from the factory and you can see in the two photos where one of the screws has zero purchase to the housing itself. Fortunately, two of the three screws have good contact, but I'd like to be given the extra screw thickness to better ensure equal retention all the way around. The first photo shows it pretty clearly. The second photo I highlighted the grommet in green to more easily show the miss. Not worth knocking a star off, though.

Looks like daytime in the back up camera. I am completely satisfied with the purchase and recommend this product. These exceeded my expectations.
